NORPHCAM Executive Director attracts Senior Research Leadership Award at University of Oxford (Aug 10) |
Associate Professor Jon Adams, NORPHCAM Executive Director, has recently received a prestigious Senior Leadership Award via the International Brisbane Initiative, Department of Primary Health Care, University of Oxford, UK. Jon is 1 of only 8 successful participants worldwide chosen from a competitive application round and he joins co-participants from the UK, Netherlands and Norway on the BI senior leadership programme. The award is in recognition of A/Prof Adams' profile, experience and vision in primary health care/health services research, especially his work examining the relationship and interface between primary health care and complementary and alternative medicine. As a BI Senior Fellow Jon will attend workshops and programme meetings in Oxford (4 visits in total) over the coming 3 years to build international leadership capacity for future research in primary health care/health services research. The first BI Senior Cohort Meeting was held at Queen's College, Oxford in July 2010. Below are some pictures from the meeting:
