Field of Specialization: Stress Management, Holistic Health and Psychophysiology

Current Projects: His research includes developing interventions and teaching strategies that promote psychological courage and hardiness to reduce human stress, as well as promote health literacy and tobacco cessation in high-risk youth. He has published in all of these areas. Before coming to SF State, he ran a UC Irvine counseling Center Biofeedback and Stress Management Program and, worked as a Maternal, Child and Adolescent Health (MCAH) Epidemiologist in Orange County. Professional associations include the: American Public Health Association, Association for Applied Psychophysiology and Biofeedback and, the Society of Behavioral Medicine.
