NORPHCAM Collaborator submits report on CAM regulation
NORPHCAM collaborator Jon Wardle has recently submitted a report, titled "Regulation of complementary medicines: A brief report on the regulation and role of complementary medicines in Australia" to Senator Jan McLucas, Parliamentary Secretary to the Australian Minister for Health and Ageing. The report highlights the urgent need for regulation of various CAM elements and the benefits of including regulated CAM into the public health service. The report can be downloaded

NORPHCAM Project first to look at GP-CAM interface in rural areas
NORPHCAM collaborators Associate Professor Jon Adams and Jon Wardle will conduct the world's first study to look into the rural GP-CAM relationship. Complementary medicine use is often high in rural areas. The study has been founded by an AUD$85 000 UQ Foundation Research Excellence Award. Further details can be found on the

NORPHCAM Collaborator Receives $450 771 NHMRC grant
NORPHCAM collaborators Associate Professor Jon Adams, Associate Professor David Sibbritt and Dr Alex Broom were recently awarded a AUD$450 771
NHMRC grant to investigate "CAM use among mid-age women: a national mixed-methods study across the urban-rural divide". Further details can be found at the

Associate Professor Adams has launched his text
"Researching Complementary and Alternative Medicine" through Routledge. Other NORPHCAM collaborators Dr Alex Broom and Jon Wardle also have books due for imminent release.
